As a Strategic Product Planning Manager within the Payments' Acquiring Platform & Rails team, you will play a pivotal role in innovating new product offerings and managing the entire product life cycle. You will act as the customer's advocate, developing profitable products that deliver value to our clients. Leveraging your extensive knowledge of product launch strategies, you will guide the successful introduction of products, collect vital feedback, and ensure superior client experiences. Committed to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that surpass customer expectations.

The Vice President of Strategic Product Planning will be a key leader in shaping and implementing how we prepare and strategically prioritize delivery of solutions on our Payments Acquiring platform, which covers e-Commerce, Omnichannel, Small Business, and Embedded Payments & Services. The successful candidate will possess strong critical thinking and communication skills, with a passion for improving technology solutions and an ability to own delivery of full workstreams. Tasked with driving the process for evaluating and prioritizing newly proposed payments capabilities, they will use strong executive presence, business acumen, analytical skills, and an understanding of effective product delivery to identify and communicate key insights around program planning and strategy to executive leadership.

..Job responsibilities

  • Owns, maintains, and develops the program-wide product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
  • Leverages strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to drive decision-making processes both independently and in collaboration with executive leaders
  • Builds the framework and tracks the Acquiring Platform's key metrics such as size of effort, cost, feature and functionality
  • Builds process documentation with detailed steps, preparation requirements, and timelines for every step of the strategic planning process
  • Works with product leaders to establish processes and tracking that improve visibility and delivery success for the program
  • Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
  • Analyzes disparate data and structures it within tools that facilitate repeated usage by executive leadership, providing key insights for decision-making within meetings
  • Builds compelling PowerPoint presentations that effectively communicate program strategy, key decisions, and associated rationale to diverse stakeholders
  • Works across multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating effective project management skills and prioritization instincts
  • Fosters a team-oriented mindset, leading within the team and collaborating with colleagues across the business to achieve shared goals

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of experience and demonstrated success in Strategy, Product Management, or Consulting, with demonstrated understanding of strategy best practices
  • Familiarity with product development life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
  • Advanced PowerPoint presentation skills with the ability to design, build and deliver compelling presentations that effectively communicate complex business strategies to executive leaders
  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to build and manage models that source from a range of sources and can be easily adapted and maintained
  • Humble mindset, with a willingness to do whatever work is necessary for the success of the team and the broader organization
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet ambitious strategic goals
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and lead discussions with senior-level stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, leading and fostering cooperation and contributing to shared goals
  • Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
  • Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
