As an Auto Special Collections Specialist, you will have the opportunity to utilize your excellent communication, knowledge, and negotiation skills to find the best outcomes for our customers. In this fast-paced call center environment, you will take ownership of each customer interaction, demonstrating empathy and respect. This role offers the chance to work both independently and part of a team environment, adhering to all applicable regulatory and departmental practices and procedures.

Special Collections - Cease & Desist

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for mitigating loss by customer contact or locating vehicles to ensure we are properly addressing any risk to our collateral.
  • Contacting customers and third parties to determine their intent with collateral and collecting payments as required.
  • Assessing the level of risk associated with account to determine an appropriate course of action.
  • Work in a call center environment that requires phone-based interaction by means of inbound or outbound calls
  • Work with other internal departments to ensure that process flows as required
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills, while staying engaged with our customers
  • Ability to work in a multi-tasked team environment where flexibility and dependability are required
  • Communicate with customers in a metrics-driven environment
  • Will be responsible for managing a portfolio consisting of accounts that are 0 to 120+ days delinquent or charged off where applicable.
  • Use of skip tracing and collection tools if needed to locate the customers in order to determine intent.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally
  • Data input and reporting requirements
  • Responsible for working with outside agencies as needed

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Organization and prioritization skills are a must
  • Excellent communication and listening skills to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
  • Efficiently navigate Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook applications.
  • Process analytical and problem-solving skills to address customer inquiries and resolve issues

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Previous Auto experience helpful
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced consistently changing environment
  • Basic skip tracing experience strongly preferred
  • 1 - 3 years collection experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to work overtime as required

Work Schedule

  • Candidates must reside in the state of Arizona and be willing and able to work a hybrid work schedule. Specific schedule information will be provided by the Recruiter.
