As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Analyze, Design, develop, code, test, debug, and document as per the requirements of various projects.
- Open minded to take on different roles (other than the primary skill set) and work on other technologies as needed.
- Participate in functional and design reviews, identify efficiencies, and provides alternatives.
- Participate in / Conduct code reviews and make sure that quality solutions are built to prescribed design and best practices/standards have been followed.
- Participate in Test Strategy definition and creation of test scenarios/cases for DEV (Unit Test) /SIT/UAT and execution of the same.
- Identify efficiencies and ways to improve design, development and testing processes through automation or other means.
- Troubleshoot systems production/performance issues under tight deadlines.
- Works with other team members, including DBA's, SAPBI Developers, Technical Architects, QA, Business Analysts & Project Managers
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the Full life cycle of a project

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Software development experience in Operational Data Store / Data Warehouse environment.
- Strong knowledge of development life cycles
- Solid design, coding, testing, and debugging skills.
- Must have full life-cycle experience in ETL/SAPBI projects
- Hands-on work experience in SAP BW, BEX Queries, BW4HANA and Business Objects toolset.
- Strong hands-on experience on SAP advanced ABAP programming & HANA SQL script and modeling knowledge
- Exposure to latest SAP HANA Database version, Experience in creating HANA views and Stored Procedures using HANA studio and/or Eclipse
- Knowledge of release management, version control practices and procedures
- Ability to Analyze the Requirements & high-level design documents and come with various build options/solutions & perform the development with minimum supervision.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Exposure to S/4 HANA concepts and Fiori app is a plus.
- Exposure to other visualization tool set such as QlikView, tableau is a plus.
- Experience with scheduling jobs using a scheduling tool like Control-M will be plus.
- Technical knowledge around SAP BW/BEX is added advantage.
- Prefer finance industry experience
