Alternatives Technology Team - JPMorgan Asset Management

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset Management line of business, specifically the Alternatives Technology team, you will have the opportunity to work directly with the Global Transportation Group (GTG). You will be involved in every aspect of building out a bespoke portfolio management platform, from capturing business requirements to design and implementation. This role offers a unique chance to work closely with the business and broaden your fund management knowledge. We are looking for someone who is curious, hardworking, detail-oriented, and motivated by complex business problems.

  • Work directly with the GTG investment team and broader multi region business be as part of the Alts development team
  • Work individually and as part of a team to achieve project goals
  • Switch between business analysis at the early stage project, to design and development, through implementation and to DevOps once the product goes live, covering all aspects of software development life cycle
  • Demonstrate interest in financial markets and be eager to communicate directly with the business users

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills.

  • Formal training or certification on Java and React JS concepts and proficient applied experience
  • Experience working with private or public cloud platforms
  • Financial Services Experience
  • Curious, hardworking, detail-oriented and motivated by complex business problems
  • A good understanding of database technologies like PostgreSQL or similar
  • Experience of Agile Development
  • Business analysis and analytical skills
  • Desire to learn and grow their fund management knowledge

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Prior experience working in small multi skilled technology teams
  • Knowledge and experience in real assets businesses
