As a Full Stack Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate and Investment Banking Data & Analytics Technology team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You'll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products for various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives. You'll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what's being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you'll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.

Job responsibilities

  • Participates in, design and develop scalable and resilient systems using Java, React & microservices architecture on AWS cloud, to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product.
  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
  • Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
  • Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
  • Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
  • Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and proficient advanced experience
  • Full-stack experience building web applications with HTML5 frameworks like React/Redux and services frameworks like Spring Boot (Java)
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability with microservices architecture
  • Experience developing public cloud applications on AWS/Azure/GCP as well as Kubernetes/Docker.
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with Java and SQL/no-SQL database querying languages
  • API design, development and management experience
  • Hands on experience with Agile delivery methodology
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Familiarity with AI/ML/LLM technologies and frameworks
