DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Improve software system reliability across key categories including availability, performance, latency, efficiency, capacity, and incident response. Work closely with the business to deliver critical data to the Firm's institutional clients. Resolve urgent production problems. Continuously streamline and stabilize processing of the applications. Implement production changes, communicate and interacting with lines of business on issues or outages, and developing tools to streamline production support processes. Provide resolutions to production issues and guide junior members in troubleshooting problems. Provide timely and accurate communications to technology management and business partners regarding production incidents and client financial impacts. Support compliance audit requests for production application information. Support capacity planning effort. Ensure that strict standards for Change Management are followed for all application production installs. Perform daily health checks for distributed applications. Perform post-incident break fix changes.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Technology Architect, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Confluence Unity Pricing product suites; Confluence Unity Application server setup; Confluence Unity Application database setup; Confluence Unity Application inbounds and outbound setup; working with business users to understand their needs and translating them in to functional and technical specifications; Setting up the Confluence desktop application for users; resolving Confluence Unity Application setup issues; creating and monitoring performance scripts in Java and C++ to capture performance related data and to develop backend executables; Shell scripting on Unix machines for SFTP operations and business needs; connecting databases including Oracle and MS SQL Server; writing complex queries and stored procedures in databases including Oracle and MS SQL Server; infrastructure setup for webservers including Tomcat and IIS; reporting tools including SAP Crystal reports and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS); setting up JILs, calendars and installing and monitoring agents in AutoSys.
Job Location: 8181 Communications Pkwy, Plano, TX 75024. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
