DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Enhance and optimize the applications by analyzing the transaction journeys. Work on distributed systems. Modernize applications from mainframe footprints to microservices. Develop and work on design flows in BPMN model tool. Debug and investigate QA, Performance and Production issues, and apply fixes. Analyze user stories by reviewing the existing functionalities in applications. Write Junit, Component, and Integration tests for code changes or new developments. Develop and integrate product user stories functionalities with other teams and take ownership of developed module. Modernize applications with container and orchestrators Mock and create Junit, Components and Integration test cases to automate the testing of business logics. Support product releases on lower and production environments. Deploy and maintain applications in lower environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Senior Java Developer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Senior Java Developer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Linux; Windows; Agile SDLC; Application Architecture Disciplines; J2EE; Jenkins; HTML; Javascript; JQuery; Apache Tomcat; REST; Maven; JSON; Oracle; GIT; Java development, designing and developing scalable applications, ensuring high performance and reliability; implementing microservices architecture using Spring Boot, enhancing modularity and maintainability of the codebase; using advanced frameworks such as Spring (Spring Boot & Spring MVC) and Hibernate to streamline development processes and enhance application functionality; Creating secure and high-quality production code and maintaining algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems using tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Dynatrace, VisualVM tool (to monitor thread, CPU usage, and heap and garbage collection); Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, JITWatch (Log analyzer and visualiser) & QuickPerf (to test library to evaluate and improve performance related properties); producing architecture and design artifacts for complex applications with the help of FIGMA, UML modeling and Erwin data modeler; Delivering complex software projects from conception through deployment and maintenance, with a strong focus on performance optimization, code quality, and user satisfaction using JUnit tests, Cucumber tests (behavior driven tests) and jMeter (load testing); adopting and implementing microservices architectures, RESTful and SOAP web services, and integrating with various databases (SQL and NoSQL); gathering, analyzing, synthesizing, and developing visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems with the help of Jasper Reports and Tableau; containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless and continuous delivery of software product.
