DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure that solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions. Manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues. Set overall expectations and provide guidance relative to team output, tactical best practices, and collaboration. Anticipate dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications. Manage stakeholder relationships and the team's work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as a Technology Architect, IT Consultant/Developer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: AWS EC2; AWS S3; AWS VPC; AWS Subnets; AWS ECS; AWS RDS; AWS IAM; AWS Lambda; AWS Step Functions; AWS EventBridge; AWS Security Groups; designing and developing highly scalable, highly resilient, low latency, self- monitored applications using Java and J2EE, including Exception Handling, Collections, Generics, Multithreading, Lambda Expressions, and I/O Streams; nonfunctional requirements, including performance tuning, resiliency setup, monitoring, and transaction tracing; Spring Boot; microservices; JSON; dependency management, profiles, and packaging using Maven; Builds, Pipelines, Plugins, and Agents using Jenkins; Oracle; UNIX; JavaScript; Test Cases, Assertions, Mocking, and Sonar Code Coverage using Junit; REST; Splunk; Brokers, Consumer Groups and Offsets using Apache Kafka; GIT; Docker; Containers, Pods, Deployments, Replica Sets, Config Maps, Secrets, and Helm Charts using Kubernetes; Pivotal Cloud Foundry; SQL; XML; web application development; HTML; enterprise architecture; and enterprise systems.
