DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Work as a member of the SDLC team. Design, develop and execute both manual and automated test-cases for customer-facing, mobile-finance applications in various digital environments. Work with a variety of test automation tools to author, execute and evidence test execution. Collaborate with various departmental teams to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions. Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities across disparate teams and initiatives. Conduct thorough testing and validation of software systems to ensure accuracy, reliable and compliant with business requirements. Perform thorough regression testing. Identify and manage risk associated with software changes. Generate and distribute quality reports to senior managers and stakeholders. Procure and configure environments for test execution. Assist the team in troubleshooting automation issues and documenting various knowledge base documents. Create defects and test cases in the JIRA tool or other test art factory. Report and track work streams with various dashboards. Additionally, involved in Agile process meetings like Standup, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospective.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Tech Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Tech Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: requires a background in mobile application development, experience with programming fundamentals; testing mobile software on a variety mobile devices including smartphone models, tablets and mobile operating systems; designing and developing automated UI tests with XCUI, Espresso, and KIF; designing and developing test plans and test cases; implementing, debugging, and maintaining test code utilizing modern program languages including kotlin, java, swift and source; control management systems including Git and Bitbucket; designing and implementing test strategies, objectives and procedures to evaluate the behavior of the software as compared to the specified requirements; support the test execution on a range of varying mobile devices operating systems, screen sizes, and resolutions; Splunk application logging and mobile development IDE's debugging tools for capturing api request and responses; authoring and executing a multitude of test types including UI, API, Functional, Regression, Integration and Component Testing.

Job Location: 8181 Communications Pkwy, Plano, TX 75024. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
