DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 6 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software/Application Developer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Test driven development; Behavior driven development; Agile; ES6; Typescript; Redux; CSS preprocessors; Syntactically Awesome Stylesheets (SASS); Leaner CSS (LESS); CSS organization methodologies including BEM, OOCSS, and SMACSS; Ext JS; jQuery; webpack; Yarn; npm; Memory and CPU usage profiling, optimizing, and tuning; Core Java; J2EE; Spring; AWS PaaS architecture; designing and developing front-end user interfaces for complex cloud-native applications; developing wireframes and mockups for data-driven visualizations by leveraging tools such as Figma or Sketch; implementing UI components that translate mockups into working high-quality software with a seamless user experience; managing state and props and handling events to build responsive UI using ReactJS and utilizing libraries such as React Hooks or Context API; collaborating closely with product owners and stakeholders to learn user needs, strategies, and business goals and then transforming them into requirements; designing and developing UI software products with a focus on inclusion and accessibility principles, ensuring a user-friendly experience for all users; creating clean, efficient, and reusable JavaScript code while integrating HTML and CSS and following best practices and modern coding standards; working with consuming REST APIs and utilizing modern libraries like Axios or Fetch for efficient data retrieval and manipulation; full-stack with API development using technologies such as Java and frameworks such as Spring Boot to ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end systems; working with data models and databases and utilizing modern databases such as Cassandra for efficient data storage and retrieval; performing integration and user testing on developed applications before deploying to production environments, utilizing testing frameworks such as Jest or Enzyme for automated testing; mentoring and supporting junior team members through code and design review and collaboration; using branching strategies, pull request workflows, and code versioning tools such as Git for efficient collaboration and code management; deployment using CI/CD pipelines by leveraging tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI for automated build, test, and deployment processes; utilizing AWS services such as Amazon S3 for scalable and secure storage, Amazon EC2 for deploying and managing cloud-based applications, and Amazon CloudFront for content delivery and caching.
