DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Participate in Sprints, Planning, showcase, Retrospective and Daily stand up. Engage with design authorities to get the high level design and approach. Participate in low level design of the solution. Coordinate with other tech partners and applications involved in implementation and delivery of the project. Interact with QA team and review the test cases. Devise deployment strategies. Support performance and post production activities. Work on proof of concepts for any new technology and approach on demand basis. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to predefined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Agile SDLC; Application Architecture Disciplines; Microservices; Apache Kafka; Docker; J2EE; Jenkins; Spring; Java; SQL; XML; Apache Tomcat; REST; SOAP; Maven; AWS Cloud Services; Dynatrace; Cassandra; Splunk; GIT; Cucumber; Junit; Automated Testing; Manual Testing; Performance Testing; and User Acceptance Testing.

Job Location: 8181 Communications Pkwy, Plano, TX 75024. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
