DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Contribute to software development items within the JPMC Athena development platform to support delivery to the risk and PNL reporting platform Risk Central. Contribute to code development in Java/Terraform/Python/SQL and other cloud languages development within the JET platform to support delivery to the risk and PNL reporting platform Risk Central. Provide peer review and feedback to team members regarding their contributions and development items. Ensure that code delivered by the team as a whole conforms to the firms software practices and control policies. Write unit and functional tests for all application code, conduct and manage integration tests with upstream and downstream teams. Support and diagnose issues that may occur during the business day to ensure application services are available to business users. Mentor and train new joiners on the \"Risk Central\" platform. Produce robust, coherent, understandable and scalable application architecture designs. Work with team members to engage in agile practices (namely scrum, retros', sprint planning, etc.) to plan development work for the team. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree Engineering (in any field), Computer Science, Computer information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Analyst - Software Engineering, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Linux; Unix; Windows; Agile SDLC; Application Architecture Disciplines; Data Architecture Disciplines; Microservices; Apache Kafka; Java; Python; SQL; JSON; Kubernetes; AWS Cloud Services; Hadoop; Hive; Oracle; Apache Spark; Splunk; Tableau; GIT; Automated Testing; Blackbox Testing; Functional Testing; System Integration Testing; Unit Testing; and User Acceptance Testing.

Full-Time. Salary: $152,000 per year - $185,000 per year.
