As a Senior Product Associate in Digital Platform & Services (D&PS) Strategy, you contribute to the team by leveraging your expertise in product development and optimization to make a significant impact, supported by user research and customer feedback to fuel the creation of innovative products and continuously improve existing offerings. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our products and ongoing success. In this role, you will focus on creating a unified view of our clients by integrating data from various lines of business and external sources. As a key leader, you will drive the strategic vision and execution of a comprehensive data platform that consolidates client interactions and insights across the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB). You will lead the development and management of internal entitlement solutions, leveraging your expertise in addressing the unique challenges faced by large financial institutions, particularly in managing public vs. private side risks. You will collaborate with legal, compliance, regulatory teams, and business stakeholders to ensure our entitlement solutions align with business needs while adhering to regulatory requirements. This position requires a deep understanding of the financial industry and a strong ability to work cross-functionally to achieve strategic goals.

Job responsibilities

  • Partners with the Product Manager to identify new product opportunities that reflect the needs of our customers and the market through user research and discovery
  • Considers and plans for upstream and downstream implications of new product features on the overall product experience
  • Supports the collection of user research, journey mapping, and market analysis to inform the strategic product roadmap and provide insight on potential product features that provide value to customers
  • Analyzes, tracks, and evaluates product metrics including work to time, cost, and quality targets across the product development life cycle
  • Writes the requirements, epics, and user stories to support product development
  • Research new financial products and analytics for relevance and develop independent revenue models to validate analytical system results in managing public vs. private side dynamics.
  • Leads analysis for new data platforms, like AWS S3, Redshift, Snowflake, and Databricks, and streamline entitlements for security and efficiency, while designing controls to manage risks and ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Develops a clear product vision for entitlements, aligning with bank objectives and regulations while translating complex concepts into actionable insights, and implements a comprehensive entitlements strategy to manage permissions and access rights across the organization, ensuring data security and privacy.
  • Leverages financial acumen and critical thinking to develop innovative solutions, manage project financials in line with organizational goals, and drive modernization and best practices to enhance financial analytics operations.
  • Develops policies for firmwide entitlements, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and robust auditing for transparency and accountability.
  • Collaborates with legal, compliance, regulatory, and business stakeholders to integrate requirements and balance needs, while serving as the primary contact for product inquiries and updates and coordinating with technology teams to maintain project roadmaps.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
  • Proficient knowledge of the product development life cycle
  • Experience in product life cycle activities including discovery and requirements definition
  • Developing knowledge of data analytics and data literacy
  • Demonstrated ability to work with legal, compliance, and regulatory teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex data entitlement challenges, coupled with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively convey strategies and policies.
  • Experience with data governance and entitlements management solutions.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
  • Ability to balance technical and business perspectives to drive product success.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager in a financial institution, preferably within a large bank.
