As part of the Engineering and Architecture team in Corporate Technology, you will be working to enhance the ways of working across all of the Engineers and Architects in Corporate Technology; helping application development teams build the right systems in the right way.

This is a Senior Director level role.
Job responsibilities
- Analyses and evaluates the use of technology across the Corporate Technology organisation
- Researches industry trends and innovations to feed into strategy roadmaps
- Leads and champions the development of architectural standards across Corporate Technology
- Collaborates with Engineers & Architects across Corporate Technology to compile codified blueprints and patterns
- Influences Engineers and Architects to develop systems using recommended approaches
- Listens to the Engineering & Architecture community, as well as senior stakeholders, to take feedback on strategy decisions
- Translates highly complex technical issues, trends, and approaches to leadership to drive the firm's innovation and enable leaders to make strategic, well-informed decisions about target state architecture
- Drives adoption and implementation of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies
- Establishes and leads an architecture governance body
- Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that improves velocity and quality of output across teams and functions
- Champions the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and expert applied experience
- Experience in compiling Architectural patterns for complex systems
- Demonstrated experience leading global forums with senior members and stakeholders
- Experience designing architecture for both on premises and Public Cloud systems
- Experience implementing Resiliency requirements for large scale systems
- Knowledge of Identity & Access Management and system security
- Practical experience implementing Risk, Controls and Regulatory requirements
- Deep expertise in one or more technical domains
- Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Demonstrated prior experience influencing across functions and teams to deliver modern architecture
- Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems across various technical disciplines
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal certification in Architecture
- Formal certification in several Public Cloud domains
- Experience running large scale transformation programmes
- Experience authoring reference architecture patterns for adoption across global organisations
- Experience implementing large scale technology migration strategies
- Experience of implementing large scale Resiliency programmes
