As a Senior Lead Python/AI Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the International Private Bank AIML Learning Team, you are an integral part of a senior agile team of Engineers and Data Scientists working to create and enhance the AIML capabilities of the International Private Bank. This role will allow you to utilize your developed knowledge and experience of Large Language Models (LLMs), and deep-rooted problem-solving skills to develop high-quality cloud-centric software platforms. You'll work in a collaborative, trusting, thought-provoking environment-one that encourages diversity of thought and creative solutions that are in the best interests of our customers globally.

Job responsibilities

  • Guides and advises the development team through the Machine Learning Development Lifecycle
  • Oversees the educations of developers in the International Private Bank on AIML development and best practices
  • Acts as a key conduit between the central International Private Bank AIML Team and the wider software development teams, to help integrate AIML solutions into existing technology products
  • Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert for AIML
  • Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
  • Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
  • Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience.
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python developmental toolsets.
  • Knowledge of, or practical experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP) including Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, etc.)
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Practical cloud native experience.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience within financial services technology.
  • Experience in building, evaluating and deploying Machine Learning Models into Production.
