Job responsibilities
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
- Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
- Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Proficient in Java17+, JDK, Spring boot microservices, and developing REST APIs in any programming language/framework
- Proven experience with modern frontend framework and libraries such as React, Redux, flux, HTML & CSS
- Experience in implementing Authentication and Authorization in REST APIs
- Knowledge in Docker and Kubernetes in a public cloud environment
- Good experience on writing unit tests in Java and React JS for a highly complex enterprise environment.
- Strong Database skills preferably with Oracle & DynamoDB and experience in tuning database queries, processing large amount of data will be great addition.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab for automating software delivery.
- Able to design and implement solutions that work against high-volume data sources.
- Practical experience of architecting & developing applications on any one of the major public cloud providers (AWS, Azure)
- Understand business requirements, partnering with global stakeholders and product teams, and offering solutions, all the way from design to implementation, and rollout.
- Exposure/ Experience with AI/ML techniques and advanced analytics
Preferred Skills
- Java, Kubernetes and AWS certification is a plus
- Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
