As a Senior Lead Security Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Employee Platforms - Core Data Risk Management team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. Job responsibilities

  • Facilitates security requirements clarification for multiple networks to enable multi-level security to satisfy organizational needs
  • Interact with Technology Leadership, Line of Business (LOB) experts, and Application Development teams on an on-going basis for business as usual remediation activities, Audit and other risk-related activities, reporting and project initiatives
  • Works with stakeholders and senior business leaders to recommend business modifications during periods of vulnerability
  • Manage responsibilities for triaging based on risk assessments of various threats and managing resources to cover impact of disruptive events
  • Develop and maintain robust relationships, becoming a trusted partner with LOB technologists, assessments teams, and data officers to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and progress toward shared goals
  • Execute reporting and governance of controls, policies, issue management, and measurements, offering senior management insights into control effectiveness and inform governance work
  • Proactively monitor and evaluate control effectiveness, identify gaps, and recommend enhancements to strengthen risk posture and regulatory compliance
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on data governance concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Skilled in planning, designing, and implementing enterprise-level security solutions
  • Experience and proficiency across the data lifecycle
  • Experience with database back-up, data recovery, data retention and archiving strategies
  • Advanced in one or more programming languages
  • Advanced knowledge of data governance practices for software application development and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • Extensive experience with threat modeling, discovery, vulnerability, and penetration testing
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
  • Practical cloud native experience

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • AWS Certifications
  • Strong understanding of platform, database and domain access
  • Experience with Databricks or Immuta
  • Familiarity with Data Regulations and HR Policies
