Senior Lead Security Engineer

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop, test and deploy applications. Work with product owners to gather requirements, understand and design scalable and secure applications. Conduct performance tuning, code reviews, automate processes, and develop enterprise scales applications. Automate deployment and infrastructure pipelines in both on-prem and public cloud environments. Write unit/integration test cases for the application modules, support and maintain applications post production deployment. Learn and advance new projects to support Network Product Line Customers. Support design and architecture recommendations to build robust applications for customers. Contribute to risk, security, compliance initiatives in the firm. Develop, maintain and implement Security Operations Center (SOC) processes and procedures about indicators of security breach/compromise. Prepare run books for first line of defense handling the security incidents.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications, Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology Engineering or related field of study plus Seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or as Lead Security Engineer, Programmer Analyst, Senior IT Consultant, Software Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Computer Applications, Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology Engineering or related field of study plus 5 (five) years of experience in the job offered or as Lead Security Engineer, Programmer Analyst, Senior IT Consultant, Software Engineer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: experience in Java 1.8 or greater; designing and implementing scalable and efficient back-end systems; enforcing coding standards and best practices; Spring MVC and SpringBoot while working on an enterprise level application; database Oracle; programming skills in Shell scripting; troubleshooting system issues in UNIX; working experience with Agile and Scrum Process; CI/CD technologies and process; Cloud Networking Solution; working experience with VPN, Firewall technologies and Load Balancing algorithms; design a system to create the policies dynamically based on the defined rules and also implement governance around this process; working experience with zero-trust security models.

Job Location: 8181 Communications Parkway, Plano, TX 75024. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
