Senior LatAm Utilities Analyst - São Paulo

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior LatAm Utilities Analyst to join our equity research team in São Paulo. Our research focuses on delivering high-quality, independent, and objective investment insights to global investors. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Latin American utilities sector and excel at integrating complex information to provide insightful analysis and recommendations. Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive industry analysis and company-specific coverage, including dissecting earnings releases, regulatory filings, and relevant news events.
  • Model financial statements, assess industry dynamics, perform detailed valuations, and produce high-quality research notes and sector pieces.
  • Produce regular written research, host investor meetings and senior corporate management, hold conference calls with industry consultants, and regularly communicate with clients.
  • Interact significantly with internal and external clients, as well as management teams, to deliver market updates and intelligence.
  • Assess risk appropriately when making business decisions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and safeguarding the firm's reputation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Passion for the markets and industry-specific coverage with over 10 years of experience in LatAm Utilities equity research.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and highly self-motivated with strong presentation, interpersonal, and writing skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills, first-class financial modeling, and accounting skills, with detailed knowledge of equities valuation.
  • Ability to multi-task, work well in a team, lead analysts, and collaborate within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment and curiosity on technology.
  • MBA or graduate degree; CFA or progress toward CFA is a plus.
  • Proficient in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
  • Secure and maintain applicable licenses.
