As a member of our Core foundational platforms Operations Engineering Database Management team, you have the opportunity to learn - and make a difference - at one of the world's most innovative financial firms. In this role, you'll gain critical experience analyzing, designing, installing and configuring database management systems. You'll collaborate with some of the best technologists in the industry, and cultivate a powerful network of colleagues from around the world. You'll exercise your innovative idea to automated solutions with focus on customer self-service and your solutions will impact and improve operations for your colleagues and our clients. Your responsibilities will span monitoring, incident management, risk control, performance tuning, patching, upgrades and migration. And we'll offer feedback, coaching and mentoring all the way, helping you improve your skills and setting you up for greater opportunities within our Global Technology

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

• B.Tech/MCA Degree or equivalent experience

• Strong experience with configuration and advance features of SQL Server

• Experience with SQL Version 2008/2012/2016/2019 and exposure to MSSQL on Linux.

• Strong experience with SQL Server clusters with multiple nodes on each cluster, mirroring, logshipping, Always-on and other methods of disaster recovery

• Migration of SQL Server databases from on Prem to Public Cloud and administrating MSSQL DB's in Public Cloud

• Experience with SSIS packages, SSRS and SSAS

• Knowledge of SAN, VM's, security, capacity planning, backup and recovery

• Solid skills in database performance tuning, optimizing queries and stored procedures

• Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages: Python, SQL Scripting, Powershell Scripting and/or Perl/YAML (preferably). Also experience with Microservices is desirable

• Demonstrated ability to implement automated process to improve database system reliability

• Skill at troubleshooting complex problems

• Strong critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills

• Understanding of the software development lifecycle, including Agile development methodology

• Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
