As a Sales Senior Associate Data Scientist within the JP Morgan Private client Sales Strategy team, you will be responsible for supporting partner relationships through analytical data exploration and reporting on outcomes. You will conduct ad-hoc (diagnostic/tactical/strategic) deep dives, design tests, and analyze overall portfolio performance, with an emphasis on controls execution and monitoring. You will serve as an internal partner collaborator and be responsible for providing analytical insights.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business partners & Technology to formulate quantifiable goals, advise on strategies and experimentation to achieve business goals.
- Collaborate across data & analytics functions (Modeling, Execution and Centers of Excellence).
- Manage effective engagement in initiatives which require the development and deployment of advanced analytical solutions.
- Advocate for specific data needed to monitor performance, targeting and execution, and other analytical support for business. goals and maintain, improve, and assess processes and controls in support of business results.
- Coach junior team members in campaign analysis methods and approaches.
- Follows industry trends and tests new tools and techniques to solve new/existing business challenges.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 3+ years' experience with analysis supporting an operating line of business.
- Bachelors with experience in a quantitative or related discipline or Masters or PhD in a related field
- Intermediate knowledge of statistical software packages, including SAS, Python and R
- Practical knowledge of advanced statistical techniques, predictive modeling, time series forecasting, text mining, Machine Learning
- Experience in Big Data platforms and related technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Apache Spark etc.
- Technical understanding of common relational database systems; i.e., Teradata and Oracle
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to work and collaborate with internal and external partners.
- Comfortable communicating complex concepts into digestible information to be consumed by audiences of varying levels in the organization
- Problem-solving skills are essential. Must be able to think outside the box to implement creative solutions that solve business problems.
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment, meet deadlines. Must be detail oriented, organized, and perform at high standards
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Technical understanding of data extraction, transformation, and load processing
- Experience with dynamic and interactive reporting applications such as Alteryx and Tableau
- Advanced understanding of Hadoop-related technologies & their applications
