As a Security Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity and Technology Controls, you serve as a seasoned member of a team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. Carry out critical technology solutions with tamper-proof, audit defensible methods across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Gain broad exposure to multiple technologies to craft effective solutions for complex problems.
- Collaborate with multiple teams on integration projects, which are inherently complex.
- Utilize a combination of agile methodologies and waterfall models for development practices.
- Contribute to building a technically diverse ecosystem with both vendor products and in-house solutions.
- Protect current data and innovate new methods for future cybersecurity.
- Contribute to a motivated team focused on analyzing, designing, developing, and delivering security solutions. Provide leadership, guidance, and best practice advice across business and technology groups.
- Participate in incident response, risk reviews, and vulnerability assessments to identify threats.
- Drive and select cost-effective security solutions. Implement best practices, new policies, and emerging trends to enhance the strategic roadmap. Keep management and stakeholders informed about new technology trends within and outside the firm.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
- Experience with DevOps SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle). Solid Scripting Skills (Ansible, Terraform, Python)
- Expertise with Deployment automation and scheduling automation (AutoSys and/or Control-M)
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (Jenkins/Selenium Grid)
- Knowledge of Web Servers (Apache, Nginx) and Source Control (GitHub, Git)
- Excellent command of Cybersecurity organization practices, operations risk management processes, principles, architectural requirements, engineering threats and vulnerabilities, including incident response methodologies
- Expertise in Agile and can work with at least one of the common frameworks
- Ability to recognize technology trends and keep up with them in your work environment.

- 3rd party vendor software installation, configuration and integration.Configuration Management / Automation (Ansible, Terraform)
- Cloud Infrastructure implementation and management (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Monitoring (AppDynamics, Apica, NetCool, Splunk, Zabbix)
- BCDR Design and Implementation . Directory Services (LDAP, Active Directory, ADFS) .Load testing solutions (LoadRunner, jmeter) .Windows Systems Administration
- Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL, Kali) Systems Administration. Applied Machine Learning: data analytics + model creation/training.
