DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Deliver production quality code and perform code reviews to ensure that functional and performance specifications are met and engineering standards are followed. Define technical specifications. Analyze and identify technical areas for improvement in performance and cost savings within existing applications. Participate in the development and maturation of vision and strategy for technology products. Work with stakeholders and business leaders to understand security needs and recommend business modifications during periods of vulnerability. Lead the analysis, design and development of cloud applications as part of a cross-functional technical team. Write unit, functional, integration and performance tests for production deliverables. Apply knowledge of tools within the SDLC toolchain to improve the value realized by automation. Interface with cross-functional teams to negotiate and influence the development process. Keep abreast of cloud technology patterns and trends.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 5 (Five) years of experience in the job offered or as Security Engineer, Software Engineer, Programmer - Information Systems, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 7 (Seven) years of experience in the job offered or as Security Engineer, Software Engineer, Programmer - Information Systems, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Java; Python; SpringBoot; Maven; AWS SDK; Docker; Kubernetes; Kafka; Flink; PySpark; MySQL; Oracle; DynamoDB; Splunk; Logscale; AWS Services including Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, S3, EC2, ECS, EKS, VPC, RDS, Athena, and Glue; Terraform; CloudFormation; Jenkins or Github; Scrum; Kanban.
