As a Securities Based Lending Analyst in Securities Based Lending Team (SBL), you will be responsible for analyzing, underwriting and documenting lines of credit for clients in each of the region's markets. You will also review other transactions that have an element of credit risk, such as derivatives.

Securities Based Lending Team (SBL) is a solution within Global Wealth Management for underwriting loans that are fully collateralized by liquid securities.

Job responsibilities

  • Drives the lending business in cooperation with internal stakeholders to deliver the best product solution for the client with a sound credit structure
  • Underwrites, sets up, and documents new credit facilities in a timely fashion and liaise with other teams across the firm, if needed, to ensure timely delivery
  • Reviews credit proposals for adherence to policy
  • Conducts accurate borrower analysis and completes credit risk assessment
  • Maintains the highest standards of quality and accuracy
  • Provides ongoing portfolio maintenance
  • Resolves proactively exceptions, including under-margin situations, past due principal/interest payments and transactional issues
  • Reviews other transactions that have an element of credit risk, such as derivative trades, to ensure trading activity adheres to the firm's policies and risk appetite

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Relevant business experience in a similar role
  • English fluency
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational skills and ability to drive change
  • Ability to work well in an integrated team environment; dedicated team player

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Other European languages an advantage
  • Credit risk or lending experience, including underwriting, lending value analysis, derivatives, KYC and legal documentation
  • Experience in using Alteryx / Signavio / Python and/or Tableau is an advantage
  • Project management skills are a plus
