Sales Business Manager - Associate

Sales Business Management optimizes business performance by helping to drive key initiatives. We act as trusted advisors and counterweight to Business/Group Heads, and are responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. The role of a business manager is dynamic and can vary from business to business, in line with the priorities of the different lines of business.

As an Sales Finance and Business Manager (F&BM) based in Hong Kong, you will support both the APAC Prime and Clearing Sales businesses. You will drive strategic analysis, process improvement and delivery of various sales initiatives all whilst maintaining stringent controls. You will partner closely with the global sales business management team along with stakeholders in Product, Finance, Operations, Compliance and Human Resource to execute on the requirements of the business. You will have significant exposure to the front office and extensive interaction with senior management, including direct support of respective sales heads in region.

Job responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prepare materials for town halls, sales updates and strategy working sessions driving business growth and strategy
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Business Heads, driving actions with the business, for instance by convening regular business reviews and management meetings
  • Drive competitive analysis and reporting for business decisions
  • Identify key business risks on the platform and drive resolution of mitigating controls
  • Ensure implementation of business strategies and help drive change
  • Identify, assess and mitigate business risks that could impair the ability to do business
  • Escalate issues and roadblocks
  • Lead Annual Plan/ Budget process for respective business lines

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or other related area
  • Prior experience in Business Management or a similar position supporting senior management
  • Proven experience delivering timely, high quality presentations and/or reporting for various audiences and stakeholders. Attention to detail is a must with continuous focus on thoughtfulness and accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability in dealing with different stakeholder groups and driving a clear agenda
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to convey clear, concise messages at varying levels of seniority
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
  • Python / Advanced VBA would be beneficial
  • Ability to identify and implement best-practice processes and solutions
  • Understanding of sales processes and the client/investor landscape
  • Ability to forge strong internal relationships across a broad range of functions
