Sales and Marketing - Cash Equities Sales - Associate/Vice President

Tokyo, Japan

You will be a coverage global equities including Japan equity for institutional clients in Asia, and making our franchise stronger globally.

As an Associate/Vice President within the Cash Equities Sales team, you will be to formulate investment opinions, disseminate equity research and to facilitate introductions with experts to help clients successfully achieve their investment objectives. In addition, there will be focus to bring a collaborative approach with our business partners in trading, research and syndicate to provide comprehensive client coverage across all platforms.

Job responsibilities

  • Navigate these products effectively among a broad range of clients (asset managers, insurance accounts, pension funds, banks, sovereign wealth funds, corporations, hedge funds etc.)
  • Bring your own idea generation and market insight
  • Work with business partners across trading, research, syndicate and others to provide comprehensive client coverage, delivering the whole firm in order to maximize the client experience

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, JSDA 1 & 2 required
  • Strong understandings of equity fundamental valuations and accounting
  • Strong team player that partners not only with the assigned team colleagues but across other lines of business
  • Strong proficiency in Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Adequate proficiency in both Japanese and English (business level)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Clear, logical thinker with strong qualitative abilities
  • Strong team player that is detail oriented with a highly disciplined approach to process and quality control
  • Ability to learn quickly, multi-task and self-manage priorities
  • Effective communication skills to interact with internal partners and clients
