As a Lead Credit Officer on our Wholesale Credit Risk Merchant Services Team, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the firm's resilience. You will have the opportunity to assess new applications for payment processing, work directly with various stakeholders and provide expert recommendations. This role offers you the chance to apply your analytical skills and contribute to our firm's growth in a responsible way.

Job responsibilities

  • Assign and complete credit due diligence and assigning an obligor grade in line with the firmwide policies
  • Review client applications, including financial statement analysis, for payment processing services provided by JPMorgan Merchant Services
  • Work directly with Sales, Bankers and applicants to complete full due diligence report of applicants to determine and document business model, credit worthiness and potential credit exposure to the firm
  • Provide expert recommendation to the Head of Wholesale Credit, Merchant Services Chief Risk Officer and Commercial and Investment Bank Chief Risk Officer

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or similar area and in-depth knowledge of accounting and corporate finance
  • 5+ years of relevant credit or underwriting experience
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills
  • Capable of understanding, describing and debating complex concepts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Previous experience working in the payments industry
  • Strong accountability, ownership of tasks, attention to detail and work ethic
  • Capable of delivering compelling presentations and effectively communicating complex information to diverse audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well in a team environment and highly motivated with a natural passion to learn
  • Experience driving system and policy change, demonstrating the ability to lead initiatives through cross-team partnerships
  • Ability to perform well under pressure in a demanding environment managing multiple tasks at the same time
  • Fluent in French for both written and verbal communication
