As a Fraud Risk Business Analyst - Vice President in the Consumer & Business Banking (CBB) Risk Management group you will be supporting the Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) Fraud Risk Center of Excellence and Chief Risk Officers across lines of business. Fraud Risk Product is on a journey to centralize key cross functional and cross channel data, with a vision of shared central services and intelligence to identify fraud faster and stay one step ahead of the bad actors. You'll shape the technology solutions that drive our strategic fraud risk initiatives. Working at the intersection of business and technology you'll interact with colleagues in various lines of businesses to learn about challenges and opportunities, transform that knowledge into high quality technical requirements, and coordinate with technical delivery teams to ensure solutions meet all requirements while providing exceptional business and customer experience.

Job responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Fraud Risk product owners, data scientists, and strategists to develop customer-focused solutions and serve as a subject matter expert.
  • Manage interdependencies between product releases and delivery teams for seamless end-to-end delivery.
  • Design and enhance software systems and applications in collaboration with stakeholders and technology partners.
  • Lead JAD (Joint Application Development) sessions to guide solution design and define web services API contracts, developing requirement artifacts and test scenarios.
  • Gather and analyze precise functional and technical requirements, ensuring clear acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with product owners and scrum teams to create JIRA Epics and user stories.
  • Convert business requirements into detailed functional specifications and data mapping documents.
  • Develop 'as is' and 'to be' workflows, identify gaps, and create technical stories.
  • Act as the liaison between Business, Architecture, Development, and Testing teams, defining API specifications.
  • Utilize tools like Confluence, JIRA, and Visio, and demonstrate strong SQL querying and analysis skills.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 8 years of experience, with 5+ years in financial or banking services.
  • Strong expertise in service-oriented design and technology, including REST APIs and micro services.
  • Proficient with project tracking tools like Confluence, JIRA, and Visio.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to clearly communicate concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Skilled in translating strategic goals between business lines and development teams.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, managing projects from start to finish.
  • Capable of handling multiple projects and managing conflicting deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and listening skills.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • An advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience with fraud risk and check products is a plus

Risk Management helps the firm understand, manage and anticipate risks in a constantly changing environment. The work covers areas such as evaluating country-specific risk, understanding regulatory changes and determining credit worthiness. Risk Management provides independent oversight and maintains an effective control environment.
