Retail Alarm Monitoring Specialist - Global Security

Specialists at the Retail Alarm Monitoring Center (AMC) in Tempe, AZ protects the firm's employees and assets throughout North America. The AMC is responsible for monitoring, researching, reviewing, and analyzing alarms, to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures in a timely manner and in a fast-paced environment. The AMC acts as the communication and situational awareness hub for the firm, operating 24x7x365.

As an Alarm Monitoring Specialist in Global Security, you will interact directly with retail branch employees, police departments, and other security teams within the corporation and acts as the primary intake for security related incidents. These cases are disseminated to other security professionals for further guidance. The AMC monitors data and provides line of business and corporate function decision-makers with the information they need to prepare for or respond to an incident or crisis event.

Job responsibilities:

  • Respond in a timely manner to alarm signals to ensure the protection of lives and property
  • Dispatch the police or service vendors and handle inbound calls relating to alarm system issue
  • Provide first tier ingest of all calls into the monitoring center and conduct initial triage and troubleshooting efforts as needed, either rectifying the issue or routing it to the appropriate resource.
  • Ensure all incidents are effectively escalated and managed at each location.
  • Placing alarm systems on test as required.
  • Service call creations for all system needs.
  • Ensure any false or problem incidents are reported to the necessary department for corrective action and resolution.
  • Ensure all SOP's are followed correctly.
  • Ensure critical alarm testing is carried out on a quarterly basis and take ownership for any faults identified so can be managed through to completion.
  • To liaise with all Security staff as well with local site security teams across the estate on all security incidents.
  • With training, to become skilled in new computer applications and systems as they are introduced by the Bank.
  • Have a positive involvement in out of hours staffing problems by being contactable via email and telephone

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Excellent computer skills, with the ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
  • Ability to learn new applications quickly
  • Type 40 WPM
  • Speak, Read & Write English
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Ability to talk/listen on the phone while performing other duties such as typing
  • Reliable attendance
  • Flexibility to work weekends or other shifts
  • Schedule: 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM, Friday - Tuesday
  • Ability to perform independently
