Remuneration Officer for J.P. Morgan SE - Frankfurt - Executive Director (all genders)

As a JPMSE Remuneration Officer you will assist the Supervisory Board and Remuneration Control Committee with regulatory requirements.

You will have a unique opportunity to develop your expertise in compensation, control, and governance matters, and provides a platform for interaction with senior stakeholders both within and outside J.P. Morgan. You will be reporting directly to the JPMSE CEO.

As a Remuneration Officer within J.P. Morgan SE, you will be responsible for supporting the JPMSE Supervisory Board and Remuneration Control Committee with all remuneration-related regulatory requirements and expectations.

JPMSE is the EU headquartered pan-European banking entity that supports lines of business across the J.P. Morgan firmwide franchise and has a branch network across EEA and London. The European bank facilitates the provision of J.P. Morgan global capabilities to EEA clients, and provides access to EU liquidity and products for globally operating clients.

Job responsibilities

  • Support the Remuneration Control Committee and Supervisory Board in their supervision of the remuneration policies and practices that apply to staff of J.P. Morgan SE ("JPMSE")
  • Work closely with the Remuneration Control Committee and the Supervisory Board, in particular their Chairperson, in overseeing these policies and practices as they are implemented, acting as extension to the Remuneration Control Committee and Supervisory Board in executing their regulatory monitoring responsibilities
  • Design and maintain regular monitoring and reporting on the appropriateness of the design and implementation of those remuneration policies and practices, including production of an annual Remuneration Control Report for the Management Board, Remuneration Control Committee and Supervisory Board
  • Serve as a key contact and subject matter expert for the relevant Regulator(s) as well as for internal and external auditors on legal entity specific remuneration-related regulatory requirements and their implementation at JPMSE
  • Partner closely with regional and line of business teams in all relevant year-end compensation processes, with focused involvement and analysis at the legal entity level; including auditing compensation planning/outcomes with regards to compliance with remuneration regulation
  • Manage and support other reporting and ad hoc remuneration queries for both JPMSE's Supervisory Board and Management Board

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Ability to articulate complex issues concisely and communicate effectively and comfortably with different levels of seniority
  • Ability to critically challenge when warranted with the goal of resolving issues; strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail, ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Excellent relationship building and senior stakeholder management skills
  • Experience of preparing and reviewing papers for and presenting to Boards, Committees and Regulators
  • Fluent in both English and German

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in Legal, Risk, Controls, Audit and/or Compensation (specifically remuneration frameworks) would be an asset
  • Knowledge of German remuneration frameworks would be beneficial
