As a Reference Data Product Engagement Lead within the Reference Data Organization team, you will assist this business-centric organization with unlocking value for our stakeholders through timely delivery of high-quality, compliant data models and strategies. You will be supporting the The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Chief Data Office (CDO) which oversees the overall strategy and execution of the CIB data agenda, working closely with Product Solutions and Program Management partners within the wider Reference Data Product team, and playing a critical role in defining and delivering strategic reference data solutions across the Commercial & Investment Bank, and in some cases, across the entire Firm. You will work in close partnership with Line of Business stakeholders and Reference Data Operations and Technology partners, ensuring that product strategies and solutions are defined, planned, and delivered, in-line with business needs and priorities.

Job responsibilities

  • Scopes the reference data needs; own the business facing delivery
  • Designs and agrees conceptual data models and solicit feedback on gaps/new needs
  • Defines the strategic conceptual party data model and the linkage of this data with accounts
  • Partners with Reference Data Information Architects to develop and translate conceptual model into an agreed logical data model
  • Partners with Reference Data Product Solutions to evolve solutions
  • Sets clear direction and guides the development of team performance, ensuring regular development feedback and career guidance
  • Partners and collaborates with your U.S. counterparts to ensure a joined-up thought process and representation
  • Supports the adoption of the strategic reference data model from onboarding to downstream business processing, working with cross-functional teams
  • Develops business cases as needed for prioritization of technology build or enhancements and engage in the annual budgeting process
  • Conducts data analysis, focusing on party and account data, to identify trends, insights and opportunities for improvement

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proactive and innovative thinking with a proven track record of successfully implementing technical and operational changes
  • Data analysis, requirements gathering, and conceptual data modeling skills
  • Presentation skills (PowerPoint/Tableau), both written and verbal
  • Alteryx, Python, SQL skills are highly desirable
  • Knowledge of party and account reference data and client onboarding processes and trade lifecycle
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to present fact-based recommendations in a clear, logical, and concise way: \"tell a story\" with data
  • Strong time management skills, efficient at multi-tasking and able to work under pressure to deliver multiple business demands on-time, at a high-level standard
  • Knowledge of Commercial & Investment Bank businesses
  • Excellent relationship management, team leadership, influencing skills
  • Experience of Product Management and Agile disciplines
  • Ability to work in a highly dynamic environment with multiple, changing priorities
  • Confidence in communicating internally at all levels

Final Job Grade and officer title will be determined at time of offer and may differ from this posting.
