As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Credit Risk Corporate Technology world, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Demonstrate ability to develop modern, scalable, resilient UI applications with sub second response from scratch.
- Consider Accessibility , Security, Observability & Performance as part of all owned applications/deliverables.
- Be self driven, create and maintain technical documentation as part of new features or spike discoveries.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contribute to team discussions/meetings/guilds.
- Ensure high-quality code through solid testing and adherence to best practices/standards.
- Identify, troubleshoot and resolve existing or newly identified prioritized defects.
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and applied experience
- Strong proficiency in React and its core principles.
- Solid grasp of Web fundamentals such as HTML/CSS/JS etc
- Experience with caching frameworks to build responsive and performant front end.
- Solid understanding of credentials management, authentication tools.
- Experience of building applications having granular entitlements
- Proficient in coding in Java, with hands-on experience with Spring boot framework & Spring-based applications.
- Experience querying large datasets, proficiency in SQL
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Exposure to cloud technologies AWS
- Exposure to databricks
- Financial domain experience
