DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Develop mathematical and statistical models for Prime desks to enhance business revenue and profitability for stock-borrow, cash and synthetic financing trading desks. Devise model-based trading solutions to increase automation and automatically adapt to changing market dynamics. Create optimization models and implement them to improve inventory and collateral management while meeting regulatory and binding constraints. Adapt quantitative models to different asset types and classes. Provide day-to-day on-demand desk support, including making enhancements to quantitative models and reports, providing technical advice, and rectifying production issues. Generate forecasts of market conditions. Analyze and simulate risk of trading book, and to evaluate performance of quantitative research models. Formulate solutions for systematic book management, inventory management, and collateral management to reduce capital costs and risk weighted assets.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field of study plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or as Quantitative Research, Equity Financing Associate, Quantitative Analyst, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a PhD degree in Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field of study plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or as Quantitative Research, Equity Financing Associate, Quantitative Analyst, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Employing linear and nonlinear optimization; Implementing solvers; Object-oriented programming using Python; Distributed processing using Python; Regulatory capital management; Securities lending quantitative research; Synthetic and cash prime brokerage inventory management; Interest rate risk pricing and reporting; Tri-party repo collateral optimization.
Job Location: 383 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10179. Telecommuting permitted up to 20% of the week.
Full-Time. Salary: $205,000 - $285,000 per year.
