DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Develop and create SAS, SQL code from scratch using SAS/SQL/Python or Alteryx by reviewing simple business requirements across multiple Lines of Business (LOB) including credit card, consumer and business banking, and merchant services. Work on LOB executed cases that require knowledge of Credit Card pricing, Credit Card laws and regulations and where there is limited documentation and independently work with PM, BA and LOB partners to gather the business requirements, and proof of evidence for any third party data limitations needed. Validate various types of data and multiple data sources that may need unarchiving the data from tapes, depending on assigned correction case. Write complex queries and run frequencies using SAS/SQL/ Python or Alteryx to validate population and output files. Effectively identify the issues and troubleshoot, document and communicate the findings to Business Analyst/Developer (BA) and Project Manager (PM). Document data validation plans aka test plans along with technical requirement documents (TRD). Ensure correct formatting and logic of all output files and corresponding SAS/SQL datasets that were created by the developers. Assist in the development and maintenance of the overall Data Validation strategy for the Correction function to make sure the customers harm is addressed in a timely manner. Actively engage in process adherence and improvement discussions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Information System, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or Quant Analyst, Software Engineer, Business Intelligence and Analytics Analyst, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Information System, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or Quant Analyst, Software Engineer, Business Intelligence and Analytics Analyst, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: developing SAS and SQL code to identify impacted data or customer; utilizing coding to confirm data and provide data validation; working with multiple lines of business or multiple functions or departments; performing calculations through a database query and posting the reports; importing external input files into SAS; analyzing business requirements; extracting data from a data warehouse; database partitioning system and how it functions; complex querying in SAS, SQL and TERADATA environment; pulling data in SQL using multiple joins, sub-queries and advanced functions in an enterprise scale database environment or Hadoop environment; Hadoop, Database development, coding best practices, QA testing and Excel; Tableau or other MIS reporting systems.

Job Location: 300 N King St, Wilmington, DE 19801. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
