Quality Control Analyst - Mortgage Finance

Mortgage Finance Operations exists within Commercial and Investment Bank. Our functions include account administration, collateral management, funding, paydown processing, customer service, billing, account reconciliations, quality control, and exception management. This position collaborates and partners with the Securitized Products Group management; functional support groups (Compliance, Audit, Finance, Technology etc.); Mortgage Finance Business Partners; external clients and service vendors utilized to support the LOB.

As a Quality Control Analyst within the Commercial and Investment Bank, you will be responsible for reviewing the daily work and will assist in making sure controls and regulatory guidelines are followed. These tasks include, but not limited to, performing quality control of account setups and renewals, reviewing monthly billing statements, reconciling collateral, monitoring daily funding and collateral transactions and ensuring that all customer service level agreements are met. You will be responsible for identifying, researching, and resolving routine discrepancies within daily work activities, maintaining the team's procedures, creating monthly reports, gathering data for internal and external audits, and will assist in the training of new employees.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review, research and reconcile multiple daily reports.
  • Review legal agreements to ensure appropriate updates are made to database(s) and system(s) .
  • Research exceptions.
  • Client service and communication through monitoring and managing warehouse facilities
  • Review and reconcile client invoices
  • Research and respond to escalated issues
  • Training and Special Projects

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 to 3 years related experience.
  • Strong organizational, customer service, interpersonal, decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Results oriented in a deadline driven work environment.
  • High energy, self-motivated and ability to make immediate, logical decisions.
