Python Software Engineer Data Analytics

J.P. Morgan is currently seeking a full stack Software Engineer with AWS and Python experience that has an interest in Machine Learning development to assist in the engineering and deployment of innovative Machine Learning solutions into production. You will have the opportunity to engage with multiple new and ongoing projects in collaboration with the Applied AI/ML group and development teams from across the Technology organization.

Working with Data Scientists on a wide variety of projects to build cloud based frameworks to host machine learning models and provide software engineering expertise throughout the model development lifecycle. Using internal and external cloud platforms that leverage proprietary and open source software/tools to ensure that models are developed in accordance with SDLC guidelines, are of production quality and can be deployed quickly. You will need to interact with platform developers, engineering and developer communities and leverage infrastructure that already exists in the firm as well as develop or integrate new technologies.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of extensive programming skills in Python

• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills

• Practical experience with cloud platforms, e.g., Kubernetes, AWS

Preferred Experiences:

• Comfort with rapid prototyping and disciplined software development processes

• Experience with REST web services and messaging technologies like MQ or Kafka

• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code

• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or a related field
