As a Vice President Project Manager within the Public Sector Receivables Operations, you will provide crucial support to the senior leadership team, tackling complex problems and addressing strategic issues vital to the business. Your role will involve close collaboration with Operations business owners, Technology partners, the Product team, and the client to monitor key deliverables. Your projects will encompass the development of strategies to foster new business growth, evaluation and planning of operations capacity, utilization of data to pinpoint performance and process improvement opportunities, and management of other significant business initiatives. These projects are typically team-based and require extensive interaction and collaboration with leaders and employees across the division.

Job responsibilities

  • Oversee strategic project initiatives from conception to completion, develop and implement project plans, ensuring alignment with key organizational goals
  • Drive the adoption and implementation of Agile methodologies across project teams to enhance efficiency and collaboration.
  • Understand and represent business requirements for client and operations business owners
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Technology, and Product, to drive project successes and timely deliveries
  • Generate regular project status reports, executive summaries, meeting minutes, and action items
  • Perform impact analyses for business initiatives to determine key business groups that will be required to undergo technical or operational process changes
  • Document end-to-end process flows, including client interactions and operations changes and motivate progress on tasks and actions through regular status meetings with business partners
  • Monitor and report project progress to executive leadership and escalate deliverable delays and document "path to Green status"
  • Conduct walk through and product overview/process change sessions to update stakeholders and user group and foster a culture of inclusion, focused on innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • Proven experience in project management at a senior level
  • Must have Project Management Certification (PMP).
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate end-to-end process reviews and process re-engineering and able to learn the technical and operational aspects of Receivables Operations quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present in a clear and action oriented manner
  • Create executive presentations, project status scorecard for senior management, stakeholders and team members
  • Experience working with cross functional teams from Operations, Technology, and Product and strong ability to influence others and motivate desired outcomes
  • Able to multi task and prioritize, with strong organization and problem-solving skills, and able to develop metrics designed to measure project/program successes
  • Strong proficiency with the Microsoft product suite (Excel, Power Point, Access, Visio, Word)
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including non-traditional and additional hours as needed to meet business demands

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
