As a Product Owner and Project Manager within the Asia Pacific Finance Regulatory Reporting team, you will participate in projects to implement strategic last mile reporting platforms that support local regulatory reporting and capital calculation/reporting. In addition, you will support local regulatory changes in the different jurisdictions, demands from business expansion, GL optimization, technology modernization and global alignment in data sourcing and consumption. The Project Manager is accountable for providing senior management comprehensive project updates.

Job responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Finance users, Technology, and external vendors to deliver strategic last mile regulatory reporting solutions, including process re-engineering for JPM Finance.
  • Partner with business users and Tech to prioritize the Book of Work. Prepare the Statement of Work, including objectives, scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, priorities, governance models, and agile sprint plans. Work closely with CT-scrum master and teams, and participate in design/build discussions.
  • Manage the overall project plan, including delivering project communications to multiple stakeholders. Chair project governance calls and provide project updates at Project Working Group and Steerco meetings.
  • Lead onshore and offshore teams by setting clear direction, driving performance, and developing the team.
  • Document user stories and JIRAs. Perform Product Validation/Proof of Concept and System Integration testing in partnership with Finance users, Technology, and external vendors. Develop testing approach, scope, and plan. Guide the team during SIT & UAT in defects resolution.
  • Manage ongoing tactical and strategic finance platform enhancements and automations.
  • Provide project or business analysis support as necessary on other projects (e.g., product on-boarding).

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or Finance
  • Minimum 10 years working experience with 3 years in the banking industry
  • Experienced Product Owner or Project Manager, preferably with Finance Regulatory Reporting Solutions implementation. Proven history of successful implementation and execution in at least 1-2 completed projects.
  • Strong leadership skills, positive attitude to lead and guide onshore and offshore teams to deliver time sensitive initiatives
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments, influence outcomes and drive resolutions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) and partner with key stakeholders to help advance project agenda
  • Highly inquisitive, solution-focused, enthusiastic, diligent, and capable of challenging status-quo
  • Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail; capable of synthesizing and summarizing complex data or findings to drive decision making. Possess fundamental understanding on data structures and database design
  • Able to work in a fast paced, results driven environment

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience in supporting Basel risk implementation like SACCR (Standardized approach for Counterparty Credit Risk) or FRTB (Fundamental Review of Trading Book)
  • Knowledge and experience of industry leading regulatory reporting vendor application (e.g. Adenza (Axiom), WKFS, Reveleus)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • The ability to use Confluence / Jira / Tableau / Alteryx / UiPath / Excel macro or any digital accelerator tools to support project deliverables
