Job Summary
As a Program/Project Manager (Market Data Vendor Manager) within J.P. Morgan's Data Solutions Operations team, you will manage a multi-million-dollar vendor spend budget, aligned to a specific product domain. You will be responsible for managing key strategic market data vendor relationships, setting mid to long-term strategy focused on strategic vendor partnerships and managing the overall market data spend for you product domain. You will identify and drive areas to reduce the overall firmwide market data spend.

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain key market data vendor strategic relationships across a product-aligned domain.
- Negotiate complex contract terms & conditions as well as commercials. Ability to drive and steer conversations to favorable conclusion. Always acting in the best interests of the firm.
- Identify areas to reduce vendor spend across the firm and cost focused.
- Oversee planning for significant vendor change activity. Either new products or contract renewals
- Use a metrics-based system to manage vendor service output and work closely with the vendor on any service-related issues. Reporting progress back internally.
- Manage a complex program of work spanning multiple workstreams, ensuring reporting, key milestone tracking and owning projects to conclusion
- Liaise with various Product, Change & Operations teams on data vendor related projects
- Liaise with Technology and dealing with IT projects and issues impacting operations
- Liaise with Global Supplier Services and Legal to partner with contract execution.
- Act as conduit between the business and vendor to manage service enhancements
- Build and maintain strong internal stakeholder relationships often at senior levels
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Third party / vendor relationship management experience either at a market data vendor or Tier 1 Asset Manager/Fund Administrator
- Negotiation/commercial awareness skills. Prepared to negotiate and drive complex conversations to a successful outcome for the firm
- Knowledge of investment instruments security types from a pricing and instrument reference data perspective
- Industry-wide market data vendor & vendor product knowledge
- Ability to manage own workload with minimal supervision
- Proven ability to communicate highly effectively within a team environment and interact across departments often at senior levels within the firm.
- Self-motivated and proactive with the proven ability to work accurately and under pressure to meet deadlines
- Demonstrate experience with and knowledge of Microsoft Office, Tableau and Alteryx products
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Good understanding of Fund Administration businesses i.e. fund accounting, custody, financial reporting, performance measurement, clearance and collateral management, markets/investment banking, and NAV lifecycle.
- Risk based mindset; drive enhancements to increase efficiency and controls
- Partnership skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Professional Securities Institute qualification. (CISI) a plus
- Experience preferably including large global market data vendors or Fund Administrators
- Securities Services experience within a Global Fund Administrator
