You are a strategic thinker passionate about driving solutions as a Product Owner. You have found the right team. As a Product Owner in our Finance team you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm. you will be leading our Mumbai based team and help deliver key priorities for the Firm, including the implementation of ongoing regulatory changes and the development of new reporting and analytics application. You will partner closely with a wide array of stakeholders around the Firm such as; Basel Measurement and Analytics (BM&A) & Regional Capital calculation and reporting teams; Capital and Liquidity Policy on internal rule interpretation; Chief Data Offices to initiate data lineages/scoping; Technology to oversee delivery; Capital Management and Lines of Businesses while overseeing capital model development and implementation.

Job responsibilities :

  • Deliver and maintain capital calculators as part of a global team, ensuring data sourcing and operating model integration to meet business and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with functional teams and technology groups to gather requirements and execute project plans, ensuring high-quality delivery aligned with regulatory and business expectations.
  • Document and deliver comprehensive, high-quality Business Requirements and Functional Specifications. Prepare detailed test cases, expected results, and perform both Functional and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Identify project benefits and establish success criteria and definitions of done.
  • Track key milestones, highlight risks, issues, and dependencies on specific items.
  • Drive change control and configuration management processes.
  • Manage, influence, and motivate teams both upward and downward.
  • Resolve conflicts through expert collaboration and broad decision-making.
  • Adhere to a challenging delivery schedule in a fast-paced and fluid environment.
  • Understand and apply key Data Governance principles.
  • Liaise with appointed project contacts to ensure the overall direction and integrity of the project. Communicate and liaise regularly with Program Sponsors and Senior Stakeholders.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Experience in financial or regulatory reporting experience at a large financial institution
  • Experience driving large and complex initiatives across multiple functional groups in a high demand environment
  • Self-starter with ability to independently manage own work across initiatives and demonstrated ability to multi-task and respond quickly to changing priorities or issues
  • Experience with data structures, systems, and large and complex datasets
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience presenting to senior management and large groups
  • Proficiency in MS Office product suite (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Working knowledge of regulatory capital rules
  • Knowledge of Basel III Finalization rules and analysis against U.S. and EMEA Basel III regulation a plus
  • Ability to query large datasets using SQL, Python, Alteryx etc.
