As a Product Director in the Corporate Technology, Engineering and Architecture team, you lead innovation through the development of products and features that delight customers. As a leader on the team, you leverage your advanced capabilities to challenge traditional approaches, remove barriers to success, and foster a culture of continuous innovation that helps inspire cross-functional teams create groundbreaking solutions that address customer needs.

Job responsibilities

  • Oversees the product roadmap, vision, development, execution, risk management, and business growth targets.
  • Leads the entire product life cycle through planning, execution, and future development by continuously adapting, developing new products and methodologies, managing risks, and achieving business targets like cost, features, reusability, and reliability to support growth
  • Establishes and maintains an intake process to capture, analyse and refine requirements from stakeholders across Corporate Technology
  • Translates requirements to identify data required to satisfy executive stakeholder needs e.g. finance data
  • Owns, maintains, develops and communicates the product backlog to enable development to support the overall product roadmap
  • Leads development of a product strategy and product vision for solutions built by Corporate Technology, Engineering & Architecture Solution Engineering Team
  • Drives innovation through the development of products and features for adoption across the line of business and beyond
  • Works with engineering manager and the development team to build the product roadmap
  • Identifies potential customer pain points, creates product hypotheses and helps with analysis for potential product development
  • Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap. Communicates to users on new features being released, bug fixes and incidents.
  • Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Extensive experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications
  • Extensive knowledge of the product development lifecycle, technical design, and data analytics
  • Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
  • Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to develop and execute a product vision and strategy that aligns with company goals.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Demonstrable software engineering background
  • Understanding of the financial industry, including market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
