Product Controller, Senior Associate (Frosch Travel)

Frosch Travel is a high-touch travel agency that was purchased by JPMC in mid 2022 as part of the creation of Chase Travel. It is comprised of roughly 1,500 Independent Travel Agents, W2 Travel Agents, and a myriad of operations and accounting employees. As Frosch Travel continues to integrate into Chase Travel operationally and financially, it is in need of a strong accounting and analytical resource to compliment the existing team.

As a Product Controller, Senior Associate within the Frosch Travel team, you will be part of a dynamic duo alongside the Controller and an Associate. The role will assist with the month-end close process, P&L and Balance Sheet reporting, and statement of cash flows. Additionally it consists of several ad-hoc analysis necessary for the successful migration of various workstreams into the JPMC infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the month-end close process and financial statement reporting
  • Produce, consolidate, and analyze daily, monthly and yearly P&L information
  • Provide detailed analysis and reporting on the financials to business managers, and senior finance management
  • Partner with various business partners to drive forth and implement robust controls and new business initiatives
  • Drive coordination across various front & back office support functions to ensure resolution of control and reporting issues timely and accurately.
  • Serve as an analytical and project support resource for product control
  • Handle various ad-hoc requests on a daily basis

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • 4 years within Product Control, Financial Control or Accounting
  • Experience performing P&L and month-end close process
  • Experience with ERP system (Oracle, SAP, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail including a strong focus on controls & process improvement
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Team Player

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Natural curiosity that drives gaining an understanding of things without being told to learn them
  • Proactiveness to take something to the finish line
  • Good at managing upward by providing status updates and responding timely to email/teams messages
  • Ability to toggle between projects in discussion and activity
  • Create neat, easy to understand spreadsheets that others will be able to utilize (substance vs form)
  • Utilize cross-checks and/or methods to tie-out your work to validate it & Consistently check your work for errors prior to submission
  • Possess ability to make connections with various tasks/analysis to related activities within Frosch Travel
