As a Product control Professional in our Finance team you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm.

The Product Controller team is an integral component of the CIB Finance & Business Management (F&BM) function and is responsible for providing business advisory and accounting support, control oversight and integrity of the financial statements and transaction end-to-end control in support of the business.

Responsibilities of this team include, but are not limited to, oversight of financial statement and management reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting policies including new business initiatives and product review, business performance control, business analytics and expense management. Since contact with virtually every part of the firm is essential to Controllers, professionals in the department experience JPMorgan businesses, products and technology systems in depth.

This position provides an opportunity to join a unique line of business and as a key member of the Credit Portfolio Group (CPG) Lending Product Control team. This candidate will have the opportunity to own and develop daily processes that the trading desk and market risk coverage teams rely on, working with key stakeholders to assure accuracy on all relevant controls and reports. The position will also offer many learning opportunities about financial markets including knowledge on the end to end risk management of Traditional Credit Products through various hedging strategies.

The successful candidate will have strong accounting, communication, and teamwork skills which will be critical to developing strong partnerships across multiple functions and regions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work on Production, preparation and reporting of the daily P&L and Risk
  • Provide detailed analysis and reporting on the financials to the trading desk, business managers, and controller management.
  • Partner with the business to drive forth and implement robust controls and new business initiatives
  • Drive coordination across various front & back office support functions to ensure resolution of control and reporting issues in an accurate and timely manner
  • Serve as an analytical and project support resource for all stakeholders
  • Handle various ad-hoc requests on a daily basis

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum 3 years within Product Control, Financial Control, Accounting, or related area
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related area
  • Solid understanding of financial products and markets would be advantageous
  • Strong technical skills in using Excel and Alteryx
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail including a strong control focus
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Previous P&L or risk experience is preferable
