As a Product Owner in auto finance, you will be in a pivotal role responsible for transforming customer challenges into innovative solutions through design thinking. This role requires a deep collaboration with cross-functional teams, including data, design, and engineering, to thoroughly understand the scope and impact of the problems at hand. The Product Owner works closely with the Product Manager to streamline delivery processes and enhance efficiency.

Job responsibilities

  • Understand customer problems, converting them into problem statements and provide out of box solutions through design thinking.
  • Work with data, design and engineering teams to conduct appropriate discovery and be able to understand the depth and breadth of the impact of the problem to be solved.
  • Collaborates with the Product Manager to execute on key delivery tasks and identify ways to boost efficiencies
  • Contribute and lead the end-to-end ownership of features from ideation through implementation and through maintenance and support.
  • Write epics, user stories, acceptance criteria in automation scripts and participate in all agile events of the product group.
  • Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
  • Lead and collaborate with other product teams, technical architects, developers, tech leads to understand the technology roadmap for modernization.
  • Prepare detailed test cases/expected results to perform both Functional and User Acceptance Testing.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 5+ years product execution / business analyst experience - including defining user experience needs, writing epics, stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Worked as part of an Agile team focused on a product and is skilled in Agile methods and routines
  • Comprehensive understanding of the automotive industry preferably in originations.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting user research that translates to product discovery.
  • User centric designs to create the right customer journey outcomes.
  • Strong problem solving and investigative skills to undertake analysis, resolve issues/problems related to the process
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good organizational and multi-tasking skills are critical
