The role will partner with IP Chief of Staff and BET team colleagues to maximize business value and improve performance through thought leadership, collaboration, and execution. The successful candidate will be responsible for IP BETS Portfolio Management, driving us towards a center of excellence that works horizontally across the organization in support of the IP Leadership Team. Pivotal in driving strategic initiatives, supporting organizational change, and building long-term capabilities within the organization. The leadership role will be integral in shaping and implementing the global Infrastructure Platforms (IP) organization vision and strategy, in driving operating model transformation, business performance improvements, productivity, GT initiated directives, Firmwide efforts and more. Ultimately the role supports IP's remit of providing Lines of Businesses and Corporate Functions with the infrastructure, tools and solutions required to deliver business value and maximize return on investment across the firm.

Job responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic technical program plans, aligning with organizational goals and cross-functional collaboration
  • Oversee complex technology project and program execution, managing resources, budgets, and timelines while mitigating risks and addressing roadblocks
  • Support Global Technology Strategy and IP Chief of Staff (CoS) and Head of BET to define and drive impactful strategic operational change across all IP capabilities and functional pillars.
  • Act as a strategic advisor and influencer to senior executive and key stakeholders, internal and external to IP, to identify strategic change initiatives.
  • Challenge the status quo with leadership and recommend course-corrective, innovative solutions to ensure the right outcomes are obtained.
  • Carry-out in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis to support business cases for change and leadership decision making.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams, providing direction and defining decision-making procedures for beneficial outcomes
  • Guide the selection and implementation of appropriate technologies, platforms and software tools leveraging advanced technical fluency
  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying process optimization opportunities, incorporating best practices, and staying abreast of emerging technologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 7+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in large organizations
  • Demonstrated proficiency in technical solutions, vendor product knowledge, managing vendor relations, and implementing solutions
  • Advanced analytical reasoning skills, applying critical thinking and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technical, and operational objectives
  • Proven ability in leading through change, managing dependencies, and controlling change in high-pressure, shifting environments
  • Advanced expertise in stakeholder management, establishing productive relationships, and driving beneficial outcomes aligned with firm objectives

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strategic advisory / consulting experience within financial services
  • Significant cost, productivity and operational efficiency optimization experience, achieved on a global scale.
  • Extensive experience partnering with senior stakeholders in leading technology change initiatives, using influencing and negotiating skills to achieve desired outcomes.
  • High emotional intelligence, politically savviness and ability to navigate effectively in a highly pressurized and dynamic cross-functional, cross-product global environment.
  • Ability to engage with high performing teams, colleagues, and suppliers to deliver results at pace
