As a Principal Architect for IAM at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity & Technology Controls organization, you provide expertise to enhance and develop architecture platforms based on modern cloud-based technologies as well as support the adoption of strategic global solutions. Leverage your advanced architecture capabilities to identify, communicate, and mitigate risk, and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to drive best-in-class outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Guide cross-functional teams in selecting and implementing technologies to enhance cybersecurity and achieve target state objectives
  • Create multi-year plans that align with business and architecture strategies, prioritizing cybersecurity enhancements
  • Design scalable platforms and distributed system architectures on public cloud a On-Premise Infrastructures
  • Develop high-quality production code and review code written by others to ensure security and quality
  • Act as a subject matter expert, driving innovation and thought leadership within the cybersecurity and IAM product lines
  • Develop control procedures and lead the design and implementation of Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions
  • Design with DevOps mindset to automate cloud infrastructure deployment, ensuring security and compliance
  • Work with diverse stakeholders to ensure IAM solutions meet business and security requirements

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering* concepts and 10+ years applied experience
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages and deep knowledge of software applications, Product security, and technical processes
  • Cloud and IAM Expertise. Extensive experience in cloud-native security and IAM solutions, including OAuth, OIDC, SAML, and more
  • Communication and Leadership, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with senior executives and influence cross-functional teams
  • Strategic and Analytical Thinking. Ability to evaluate technologies and recommend solutions for future state cybersecurity architecture
  • Cryptographic Skills. Proficiency in designing and scaling the architecture for cryptographic techniques and protocols to ensure data integrity and confidentiality

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proficiency with IAM Solutions: Experience with tools like SailPoint, Microsoft Entra ID, ForgeRock, Ping Access, and others
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Strong skills in working with diverse teams and managing stakeholder relationships
  • Ownership: Own the strategic initiatives from concept initiation to production launches
