A great opportunity to join a dynamic team to drive technology advancements in the Corporate Oversight & Governance Technology (COGT) organization, responsible for providing solutions across Compliance, Controls Management, Resiliency, Legal, Regulatory, and Audit. As a Functional Architect you will be responsible for designing and implementing business solutions that align with COGT's strategic goals. Working as a Functional Architect your passion for technology and thirst for innovation will help understand, define and shape the functional capabilities, application and data flows to align them to target state business capabilities and models. You will collaborate closely with business partners and technology teams to shape the long-term direction and success of COGT's technology and business processes that deliver long-term value.

Job responsibilities

  • Ensure that architectural designs and solutions align with COGT's overall business strategy and objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand strategic goals and translate them into actionable architectural plans.
  • Propose innovative solutions and improvements to existing systems and processes to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Ensure that the functional architecture integrates seamlessly with other architectural domains (e.g., technical, data, security).
  • Develop functional specifications and design documents based on business requirements.
  • Create high-level and detailed design artifacts, including process flows, use cases, and data models.
  • Ensure that the proposed solutions are scalable, maintainable, and align with the organization's architectural standards.
  • Collaborate across business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clear communication and understanding of requirements.
  • Establish and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices across COGT, and as the Functional Architect, serve as the organization's go-to subject matter expert.
  • Champions the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proven experience in functional architecture with a background in designing and implementing business solutions in a complex environment
  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications.
  • Strategic thinker and passion for business strategy and business processes
  • Ideally experienced in financial services
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in creating design artifacts such as process flows, use cases, and data models.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
