As a Product Owner in the FTPS and Reference Data team within the CIB Markets line of business, you will be part of an innovative team that is setting the standard for the next generation of technology in the Post Trade Clearing and Settlement space, with the opportunity to work across asset classes (Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Custody etc) in defining product standards, creating multi-year roadmaps and driving product evolution in an Agile environment.

This role requires a strong grasp of the big-picture - namely, how technology can help achieve business goals - as well as a keen ability to define technology requirements, establish priorities, manage scope and budgets, and build and incentivize high-performing teams.

You'll play an integral role in ensuring that the projects are running on time, to scope, within budget and in accordance with firm-wide guidelines, including risk and architecture. Just as importantly, you'll work with the broader team to set goals, foster collaboration and promote the values, culture and brand of JPM Morgan Chase & Co.

Job Responsibilities

  • Effectively defining and prioritizing the feature backlog
  • Creating and maintaining Product roadmaps and feature definitions
  • Quarterly planning and ensuring end-to-end delivery of product roadmap and priorities with collaboration across feature teams (identify and communicate cross-team dependencies and risks)
  • Managing scope, timelines and prioritization of projects and backlog, working closely with business stakeholders and product technology domain leads
  • Driving the delivery across architecture, engineering, and agile feature teams
  • Working with technical and non-technical stakeholders to define epics and user stories with sufficient detail and acceptance criteria to ensure successful delivery of functional and non-functional capabilities leading to successful business outcomes
  • Collaborating with Engineering teams to define, plan, and conduct various testing strategies, through automation, and showcasing and socializing the output of each sprint to users and stakeholders
  • Contributing to the architecture and technical design of our solutions that meet product goals and objectives
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for aspects of the Products related to stakeholders, partners, and customers
  • Managing the Product investment and benefit realizations, creating and tracking product related OKRs

Skills / Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience in a business analyst, product owner or equivalent role
  • Detailed understanding & experience in end-to-end software development frameworks like Agile / Scrum
  • Well versed with JIRA or similar agile project management software creating stories, tracking story progress, etc.
  • Proven experience of building strong, cohesive partnerships with key stakeholders
  • A commercial mind-set to deliver short, medium and long term strategies to achieve sustained efficiency, an innovative thought process, and focus on simplification
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate concepts to senior mgmt. and customers
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
  • Understanding of financial and accounting management, such as investment processes, business case development
  • Experience working on large scale Transformation Programs
  • Nice to have: Strong domain knowledge in one or more financial domains/products
