Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team in a fast paced and challenging area? This is a unique opportunity for you to work in Wealth Management to partner with the Business to provide comprehensive process improvements.

As a Portfolio Solutions & Research Support Associate in Wealth Management, you will focus on day-to-day support of the Due Diligence teams, applying your operational know-how to address complex problems across teams and asset classes, as well as taking ownership of key processes. You will frequently be called upon to help promote strategic initiatives, both within Operations and the broader business, often after conducting careful analysis of existing systems and workflows. Your responsibilities will entail working closely with Operations, Technology, Compliance, Business Management, and 3rd party vendors.

Job responsibilities

  • Analyze existing processes to help identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Generate high quality solutions to help the business swiftly capitalize on new needs and opportunities.
  • Work closely with key business stakeholders, Business Management, Legal, Compliance, Operations and Technology to document current state, propose alternate approaches and execute recommendations.
  • Execute new and varied processes while maintaining a robust control environment, constantly looking for functional efficiencies.
  • Participate in large scale Technology programs to drive process re-engineering and end to end thinking, as well as the implementation of new systems.
  • Understand, prioritize, and execute on time-sensitive asks, raising recurring or particularly onerous items for further review

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • At least 3 years of experience in Operations or Middle Office in the financial services industry, particularly with experience on projects spanning technology/business process re-engineering/operations
  • Able to quickly analyze information, creatively reach solutions and then implement them, preferably with experience collecting, parsing and leveraging objective data to drive strategic recommendations.
  • Solid understanding of securities products and operations (mutual funds, equities, fixed income, hedge funds, derivatives, etc.), as well as the various Wealth Management businesses.
  • Continuous improvement and change management mindset, questioning conventional ways of managing the business and driving positive change.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a demonstrated ability to clearly articulate issues and influence resolution at all levels of seniority.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines while maintaining a service-oriented mindset.
  • Highly analytical self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision and deliver results.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited, high quality institution

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience with intelligent data aggregation and visualization tools (Alteryx, Tableau) or coding (Python, etc.) a plus.
