As a Portfolio Analyst within our Home Lending Capital Markets team at JPMorgan Chase, you will be at the forefront of managing our Mortgage Servicing Rights portfolio valuation and risk. Job responsibilities
- Calibrate, test, and implement prepayment, credit, and home price models to support MSR valuations
- Conduct regular and ad-hoc data processing, analysis, and reporting on prepayment, home price, and credit metrics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance model accuracy and reliability
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for model methodologies and processes
- Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for senior management and stakeholders
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree in economics, statistics, mathematics, finance, or a related quantitative field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Professional Suite, with advanced skills in Excel (Visual Basic) and Power point
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and visualization
- Proficient understanding of fixed income analytics and financial concepts
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and technical writing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Organized, inquisitive, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing priorities and execution timelines
- Demonstrated ability to learn new processes and technologies quickly
